Brian Nelligan is the Program Director for the Asian Cultures Institute.

Brian has been the Director of the Governor’s Institute on Asian Cultures since 1996, directing over a dozen in-state and overseas programs, and overseeing over 300 Vermont high school students as they learn about and travel to China. For 43 years, Brian taught Social Studies; two of those years were in Quebec and the remainder at Essex High School in Essex Junction, Vermont.

He is married with 4 children and 6 grandchildren
