EPSCoR will be providing 50% incentive awards to all girls who apply and are accepted into the Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics Institute regardless of financial need!

If you are a high school student in 9th, 10th or 11th grade with a strong interest in one of our topic areas, we invite you to apply to The Governor's Institutes of Vermont.  The Institutes provide an opportunity for you to study with the State's finest professionals on the campuses of Vermont colleges.  While the subjects vary greatly, each Institute offers you a chance to:

• advance your personal skills, awareness, and abilities
• meet and study with other high school students
• explore your career ambitions

At each Institute, you will:

• work in small groups
• receive close personal attention
• experience a hands-on approach to learning

You will study and live with students, faculty, and assistants to create an exciting, intensive, and productive community of learning.  There are no tests or term papers; your motivation to learn is what determines the success of each Governor's Institute.

If you are selected to participate, you will join the ranks of over 8,500 high school students who have attended a Governor's Institute program since 1982.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify.  Historically, one-third of our students receive scholarships each year.
