Alum Update:
Michael Roddy Potvin, student at the '96 Science and Technology Institute writes to tell us that: "I am currently a junior at Boston University in their Engineering School studying Computer Systems Engineering. I am involved in their jazz program and play different venues around the city. I was the proud winner of the fashion sock award while at the Institute and continue to have great socks! I have a younger brother who is anxious to attend the Institute."

Alum Updates:
Justin Bendel (Arts '98) received a grant from the Anne Slade Frey Charitable Trust to direct and produce a play dealing with sexuality, marriage and divorce as seen by today"s youth. The play is taking place at Thetford Academy of which Justin is a recent graduate.

Elias Sardonis, (Arts '94, Arts Staff and giv.org webmaster '97-'00), just graduated from Oberlin College with a BA in Digital Arts. After GIA this summer, I'll be moving to Boston to work at a web design company.

Alum Update: Kevin Szych (Science & Technology '90) graduated from RPI with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He is now working with Information Systems in Dover, NH.

Finnegan Calabro (Engineering '97) is at Princeton University (class of 2002) majoring in electrical engineering.

Frank Griggs (Arts '97) is now studying writing and music at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY. He will be traveling to Germany the summer of 2000 with the Village Harmony alumnae tour.

Erika Gustafson (Arts '93) living and working in Switzerland for an Internet Company.

Nina Kohn (Arts '93) resides in Boston.

Rebecca Neagle (Asian '98 & '99) attending Dickinson College and will be applying to Princeton in Beijing for summer of 2000.

Sally Olson (Arts '97), Middlebury College Freshman, with interests in language, writing and studio art.

Ambre Tousley (Arts '94) is a Sophomore at Drew University majoring in Anthropology. Traveled for a year after High School learning Italian and going on a safari in Africa.

Alum Update: Courtney Stewart, Public Issues, '95.

"Hello all! Biggest news is that I'm taking the spring semester off from Brown (where I'm currently a sophomore studying Environmental Studies) to hike the Appalachian Trail with my best friend. We're going to be taking over a project started last year by two girls that brings interdisciplinary lessons focused around the trail into classrooms. We're very excited about it! Alum Update: Lisa McClellan, Arts, '92.

"I have defected to your neighbor here to the East. I went to Plymouth State College and earned my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Ed. I was in the PSC band for three years-- I'm sure you can guess which instrument I play. Then I moved here to Nashua with my fiance who is from Springfield, VT, but is not a fellow alum. Right now I am doing temp. work in Manchester NH while I take classes in computers and try to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Our wedding is planned for next September."

Alum Update: Erika Gustafson, GIA '93: "I just got the recent update and wanted to say hi. I have a lot of big things going on in my life right now. I'm about to travel to Switzerland for six months to work at an online tourism company, doing research and development. When I return to the U.S. I will take up residence in Boston again, where I will resume my job as Music Director of a children's theater program.

I was just reminiscing about the GIA last weekend, when after about five years I came in contact with my roommate from that summer, Nina Kohn, who is now living in Boston as well. It's a small world..."

Dartmouth '92, received his PhD in solar physics from UC Berkeley in January '99. Mark is now employed by the Naval Research Lab in Washington DC.
